Like Swedish NHL stars William Karlsson, Lucas Raymond, and William Nylander (L to R), Tre Kronor fans feel happy as their host team leads our fifth Power Rankings.

After the unavoidable tension of the quarter-finals, it’s time to kick back with our fifth Power Rankings of the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship! Sweden moves into top spot after dethroning the Czechs with a big 5-2 quarter-final win at Avicii Arena. The co-host Danes magically soar into second place, having pulled off one of the greatest upsets in hockey history with their 2-1 elimination of Sidney Crosby’s Canadians. And the Swiss stay third, as they played masterfully in their 6-0 quarter-final walloping of Austria. Please fasten your semi-final seat belts as we prepare for our final descent into Gold Medal International Airport!
