Leonardo Genoni has been selected as the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship MVP, as voted by the accredited media. The Swiss goalie posted four shutouts in the tournament. Genoni is now the third Swiss player to be named MVP – and the first goaltender – after defenseman Roman Josi got the honor in 2013, and forward Kevin Fiala last year.
This is also the first time a Swiss player has been named the MVP in two consecutive Ice Hockey World Championships.
The media also voted for the All-Star Team, which includes two Swiss players and one each from Czechia, Denmark, Sweden, and the United States.

Czechia’s David Pastrnak led the tournament in scoring with six goals and 15 points in eight games, Elias Lindholm was the runner-up with 14 points. Dean Kukan logged most total ice time for the Swiss and Team USA’s Zach Werenski now has an All-Star nomination from both World Juniors (2016) and a men’s Hockey World Championship.
Nick Olesen is the first Danish player to be voted into the tournament All-Star team after Frederik Andersen received the directorate's Best Goaltender award in 2018.
The directorate selected the top players of this IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. All three players were also voted into the All-Star Team.
