Official Fan Zone
The 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will start on May 9 in Sweden & Denmark, and preparations are in full swing in Stockholm. The Official Fan Zone will cover an area of 12,000 square and is located next to the Avicii Arena and will be the largest ever for an IIHF WM in Sweden. Don't miss to feel the pulse in the Official Fan Zone before the game – featuring food market and bars, game viewing and music live acts, engaging activities and lots more!
On May 9, the puck drops for the 2025 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Stockholm & Herning. That’s also when the largest Official Fan Zone in Swedish Ice Hockey World Championship history will be ready to welcome fans from around the world.

This is a major investment from our side. With around 300,000 fans coming to Stockholm and the area around the Avicii Arena, it feels fantastic to be able to offer a record-breaking Official Fan Zone with a packed schedule.
The packed schedule includes performances by Swedish crowd favorites like Rydell & Quick, ÅL IN BAND, and De Vet Du, great games shown on big screens, quizzes, and table hockey challenges with world champion Göran Agdur.
The Official Fan Zone will be open every game day throughout the tournament, May 9–25, from early afternoon until late at night.
“We hope everyone who loves ice hockey, whether they have a ticket to the games or not, will come to the Official Fan Zone to hang out, eat, drink, and have a good time. We’ll show games on the big screen every day, starting with the game between Team Sweden and Team Slovakia, followed by DJs playing into the night. This is something nobody wants to miss,” adds Johan Wirell.
