Playoff Seeding
After a single round-robin series in each group, all eight teams from the Preliminary Round will play a cross-over Quarter-Final game:

Quarterfinals will be paired as follows: A1 vs. B4, A2 vs. B3, B1 vs. A4, B2 vs. A3

Timings of Quarterfinals will be decided in consultation with the host broadcaster – with the agreed caveat that team FIN will play the QF @ 17.00 regardless of their placement (this was signed by all participants). Observance will furthermore be placed on the highest ranked teams and the rest period from the last preliminary round day.

The winners of the Quarter-Final games will play the Semi final Games.

If qualified, Finland will play the Semi Final game #1 (SF1- 15.00). If Finland does not qualify for the semi-final, then the highest ranked teams of the combined ranking of the preliminary round plays in SF1 as per IIHF Sport Regulations.

The winner of each Semi-Final game will move onto the Gold Medal Game, while the losers will play in the Bronze Medal Game.
