Can I take photos/video footage in the arenas or do I need a permit?
You can take pictures/videos for private, non-commercial use, but only with smartphones. Professional photo or video equipment is not permitted. Travelling
Is public transport included in the ticket?Yes. Regional public transport in Zurich (Zurich Transport Network, German abbreviation ZVV) and Fribourg (frimobil) is included for direct travel to and from the respective game.
Types of tickets and prices
What types of tickets are available for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship?Both packages and individual tickets will be available for sale.
Which tickets will be available in which sales phase and when do the respective sales phases start?
Ticket sales for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be staggered: The official sale start with the Game Day Packages will begin in September 2025 - when the game schedule is known – before Single Game Tickets are finally available in February 2026. However, the first offers will be available just one day after the final of the 2025 IIHF World Championship on 26 May 2025: "Venue", "Preliminary Round" and "Final Round" packages.
What price categories are available?
Tickets for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will be available for Zurich in price categories 1 to 3 and for Fribourg in price categories 1 to 4. Category 4 in Fribourg is standing only.
What ticket types/variants will be available?
Both physical and digital tickets are available.
Order process
What does best-seat booking mean?The best seats are allocated directly within the available categories. This will mainly take place at the start of advance sales. It will not be possible to change seats at a later date. Hardship cases will be checked individually by the Ticketcorner ticketing team.
Payment and shipping
Can tickets also be paid for in other currencies?No. CHF is the only accepted currency.
How do I receive an invoice for my ticket order?
You will receive a payment confirmation for your order. If you require a VAT invoice, please send an e-mail to consumercare@ticketcorner.ch.
There are two options for receiving the invoice:
- Invoice by e-mail (additional fee of CHF 3.50). The invoice will be sent by e-mail immediately after the order is placed.
- Invoice by post (additional fee of CHF 5.00). The invoice is generated after the booking is made and sent by post.
Groups
Where can I get in touch if I would like to visit the World Cup with a group?Group orders can be requested via the order form for groups. You can open the order form via "Groups" in the navigation bar here.
Hospitality
Are there any special hospitality offers?Yes. Hospitality offers are planned to be available for sale in September 2025.
Discounts
Is there a minimum age for attending the event?There is no minimum age for attending the event. Responsibility lies with the legal guardians. The organiser assumes no responsibility for regional youth protection laws.
From what age do children need their own ticket?
Children up to the age of 5 have free admission when accompanied by an adult (children must sit on an adult's lap and have no entitlement to their own seat). Children aged 5 and over require their own ticket.
Are there discounted tickets for young people, students or senior citizens?
No. There are no special discounts for these groups.
Are there offers for larger groups?

Wheelchairs
How can tickets for wheelchair users be purchased?Wheelchair tickets and tickets for accompanying persons can be ordered by telephone on 0900 800 800 (CHF 1.19/min.) or by e-mail at consumercare@ticketcorner.ch. Orders will be processed as they are received. Tickets are sold on a first come, first served basis.
What is the pricing structure for wheelchair users?
Wheelchair users and accompanying persons receive 1x Cat. 2 ticket. The accompanying person receives a free ticket and is seated next to the wheelchair user.
Ticket personalisation & resale
Are the tickets personalised?No. Tickets are not personalised.
Can I exchange my tickets?
No. Tickets that have already been purchased usually cannot be exchanged. It is also not possible to change seats after purchase.
Shipping costs
What are the shipping costs?For the ticket type "Fan Ticket" the following shipping costs apply:
- CHF 6.90 normal shipping CH and Liechtenstein
- CHF 9.40 A Mail Plus CH and Liechtenstein
- CHF 11.40 Registered mail CH and Liechtenstein
- CHF 21.90 Express shipping – CH and Liechtenstein only
- CHF 19.90 Shipping to AT, DE – only registered mail possible
- CHF 23.90 Shipping to other countries – only registered mail possible
