Travel information

Types of tickets and prices
Which tickets will be available in which sales phase, and when does each phase begin?Ticket sales for the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in stages: the official pre-sale with day packages will start on 8 September 2025 at 12:00 (noon). The remaining Single Game Tickets will be released in February 2026. Game Day Packages for the final round will be available starting in January 2026.
What price categories are available?
For the 2026 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship, tickets in Zurich will be available in categories 1 to 3, and in Fribourg in categories 1 to 4. Category 4 in Fribourg refers to standing tribune. In Zurich, only seated tickets are available.
Which ticket types are being offered?
Both physical and digital tickets are being offered.
What are Game Day Packages?
Game Day Packages always include 2 or 3 games in one arena on the same day.
Can Game Day Packages be split up?
When purchasing a Game Day Package (or other package), the buyer will receive an individual ticket for each game included.
What is a "venue package"?
All games in one venue (Zurich with 34 games or Fribourg with 30 games) at a discounted package price.
What is a "preliminary round package"?
All games (28) of one group (in Zurich or Fribourg) at a discounted package price, preliminary round only.
What is a "final round package Zurich"?
All final round games (Quarter-finals through the final in Zurich) at a discounted package price.
Ordering process
I want to buy more than the maximum number of tickets. Who can I contact?Group orders can be requested via the group order form here.
What does "Best Seat Booking" mean?
Within the available categories, the best available seats are automatically allocated. This mainly applies at the start of pre-sale. Seats cannot be changed afterwards.
How many tickets can be purchased per order?
For popular games/game days, up to 4 tickets can be purchased per order. For other games/game days, up to 10 tickets per order are possible.
Payment and delivery
Can tickets be paid for in other currencies?No, only CHF is accepted as currency.
How can I get an invoice for my ticket order?
You will automatically receive a payment confirmation for your order. If you need an invoice with VAT details, please send an email to consumercare@ticketcorner.ch. There are two delivery options for invoices:
- Invoice by email (CHF 3.50 fee): Sent immediately after the order by email.
- Invoice by post (CHF 5.00 fee): Generated after the booking and sent by mail.
What is the payment deadline when paying by invoice?
Payment deadlines:
- Email invoice: 48 hours
- Postal invoice: 5 days
Which payment methods are accepted? Payments can be made with credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, TWINT, PostFinance, invoice by email, or payment slip.
What shipping costs apply?
Online tickets are sent free of charge by email. For physical “Fan Tickets”, the following shipping costs apply:

- CHF 9.40 A-Post Plus (CH & Liechtenstein)
- CHF 11.40 Registered mail (CH & Liechtenstein)
- CHF 21.90 Express delivery (CH & Liechtenstein only)
- CHF 19.90 Registered mail (Germany & Austria)
- CHF 23.90 Registered mail (rest of the world)
Ticket personalization and resale
Are tickets personalized?No, tickets are not personalized.
Can I exchange my tickets?
No, purchased tickets cannot be exchanged. Changing seats after purchase is also not possible.
Can tickets be passed on?
Yes, tickets may be passed on in a private setting. Any kind of commercial resale is strictly prohibited. Details are set out in the General Terms and Conditions at 2026.iihfworlds.com/terms_and_conditions.
Can orders be combined?
No, orders cannot be merged or seated together afterwards.
Discounts
Is there a minimum age to attend the event?No, there is no minimum age. Responsibility lies with parents/guardians.
From what age do children need their own ticket?
Children up to 5 years old are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult (lap seat, no right to their own seat). From the age of 5, children need their own ticket.
Are there reduced-price tickets for youth, students, or seniors?
No. Special discounts for these groups are not planned.
Are there special family offers?
Yes. Special family offers are planned and will be communicated when Single Game Tickets go on sale in February 2026.
Are there special offers for schools?
Yes. Special offers for school classes are available. If interested, please contact schools@2026.iihfworlds.com.
Hospitality
Are there special hospitality offers?During this sales phase, only “Venue Packages” (all 34 games in Zurich or all 30 games in Fribourg) are available. Game Day Packages are currently not available. Subject to availability, sales are scheduled to start on October 6, 2025. To secure your seats, we recommend booking one of the currently available offers (i.e., Venue Package) now. Hospitality offers can be viewed here and requested through the official order form.
Are event tickets included in the hospitality packages?
Yes, hospitality packages always include both the game ticket and catering services.
What does the exact program for each hospitality offer look like?
Hospitality customers will receive the detailed program in April 2026.

The hospitality concept combines a sporty atmosphere with high-quality service and offers a wide range of options for a large number of fans. The hospitality areas offer the right experience for every need – from down-to-earth to exclusive. In the standard area, guests will experience a relaxed yet welcoming atmosphere – perfect for getting into the game spirit. The comfort area provides space for informal conversations and networking in a relaxed environment as well as culinary highlights combined with ice hockey action. In the luxury area, guests looking for exclusivity will find either a room with a focus on comfort and atmosphere, or boxes with service and the best view of the ice.

Wheelchair seating
How can tickets be purchased for wheelchair users?Wheelchair and companion tickets can be ordered by phone at 0900 800 800 (CHF 1.19/min.) or by email at consumercare@ticketcorner.ch. Orders are processed in incoming order (“first come, first served”).
How is the pricing set for wheelchair users?
1 ticket in Category 2 is required for the wheelchair user. The accompanying person receives a free ticket and is seated next to the wheelchair user.
Where are the wheelchair seats located?
Wheelchair users will have barrier-free access. Exact routing is still being finalized and will be communicated at a later point.
