The IIHF, in coordination with its Development and Top Mentorship Committees, is creating a series of online development webinars for all of our members. The sessions will provide development program coordinators, coaches, parents, officials, and more with background information on a set topic and an opportunity to ask questions of the presenter.

Kids Recruitment and Retention
The upcoming seminar will focus on Kids Recruitment and Retention and our members can join the Zoom call on 11 November 2026 at 15:00 CET.First Part: ENZO / PEER Kindergarten Program – Austria
Presented by Peter Andrecs (ENZO) and Florian Mühlstein (Austrian Ice Hockey Federation)
The first part of the webinar will focus on the ENZO / PEER Kindergarten Program, a successful Austrian initiative designed to introduce young children to ice hockey through cooperation between clubs, kindergartens, schools and regional organizations.
The program takes a unique approach to recruitment by bringing ice hockey directly into children's everyday educational environments, making the sport accessible to families regardless of their previous connection to ice hockey. Through regular on-ice activities, qualified coaching and close cooperation with educational institutions, the initiative supports children's physical, social and personal development while creating long-term connections to the sport.
Second Part: IIHF Development & Growth Department – Programs, Activities and Future Direction
Presented by Harald Springfeld (IIHF Director of Development & Growth)
The second part of the webinar will provide an overview of the IIHF Development & Growth Department's activities and programs, highlighting the initiatives and opportunities available to support Member National Associations in developing ice hockey at all levels.
The presentation will focus on current development programs, ongoing activities and how the IIHF supports MNAs in strengthening their national development structures, increasing participation and creating sustainable opportunities for growth.
Participants can join through Zoom for additional discussion and interaction or follow the webinar live on YouTube (without the opportunity to participate in the discussion afterwards).
